Candidates for town board

We are thrilled that two candidates will challenge the incumbents this November!  Kelly Smith and Neil Snyder have the potential to bring real, positive change to Groton.  Here is their introductory statement:

Dear Groton residents,

We plan to be on the ballot for the upcoming Groton Town Board election.

We believe that the Town Board should be a resource committed to benefitting Groton residents as well as handling the daily responsibilities of managing the town. Thus we will work to improve community services and support local business.  Our goal is to create a more vital economy in Groton.  In doing so, we will work towards a more open, transparent government, one that reaches out to residents and takes their feedback seriously.

We hope to see you at the polls on November 5.

Join GRAC in the Groton Olde Home Days parade on Saturday, August 17!

GRAC will have a float in the Groton Olde Home Days parade!  You’ll know our float when you see it. 🙂  Join us in the parade and add your voice to the growing number of residents who demand that the town board take action to pass a moratorium or ban on hydrofracking in Groton!

The parade will line up at 5pm on Saturday, August 17 on Route 222.  We are towards the back of the parade.  Come by our table in front of Bun Appetit on Saturday for more information.
